Items to take
On the clothing racks
Students are welcome to take any needed items from the clothing racks apart from those in the Formal Wear Corner (more on that below). All clothing items are generous donations by the UCLA community, including students, ASUCLA and campus organizations.
In the cube shelves
Along the entryway of the center, we have shelves stocked with sustainable hygiene products and school supplies. While we have no restrictions on how much visitors can take, we ask all to be mindful of their fellow Bruins. These supplies include:
- Menstrual hygiene products
- Miscellaneous items that the UCLA community donates
Items to rent
We offer rentals on formal wear (1 week), umbrellas (3 days), crutches and wheelchairs (3 weeks). Simply check out any items you take on the iPad!
Items to refill
Our hygiene refill station is available for visitor use as part of our sustainability initiative. Bring containers to the center and our volunteers will help you fill them with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, detergent, hand sanitizer and mouthwash! All of our products are organic and non-toxic, with the exception of hand sanitizer.
Opportunities to give
While we strive to stock items from sustainable sources, most items in the center are donations from the UCLA community. By offering an outlet for used and unneeded items that are still of good quality, we reduce waste and get these resources to people who need them. We mostly receive clothing donations, but all items are appreciated.
A donation bin is available outside the center during opening hours. You can drop off more fragile items with center volunteers. We also have donation bins at the LGBTQ Campus Resource Center and fraternities. Starting in Fall 2020, we will be partnering with Hilltop Shop so you can drop off your donations on the Hill as well.
As a club committed to serving the UCLA community, we would love to hear your thoughts and cater to your needs. Share your ideas with us through our Facebook page or the form under “Contact Us” on our website!
