Meet Our Founders

Good Clothes Good People at UCLA was founded in 2018 by Robert Blake Watson and Jimmy Zhou through the Undergraduate Students Association with funding from The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) and Student Government Surplus. Here’s a bit about the founders.

Robert Blake Watson

Founder, Good Clothes Good People Inc.

Robert Blake Watson is a Stamps Scholar and 4th year Political Science major at UCLA, who founded GCGP in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky in 2017. After bringing GCGP to Los Angeles with the help of Jimmy Zhou, Robert now serves as UCLA’s Student Body President, and will be attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in the fall of 2020!

Jimmy (Cheng) Zhou

Co-Founder/Director, Good Clothes Good People UCLA Branch

Jimmy Zhou is a 4th year Biology Major graduating from UCLA in 2020. He sits on various executive boards within USAC and is also a Resident Assistant. Jimmy joined forces with Robert in 2018 to start UCLA’s first redistribution center, Good Clothes Good People. From its inception in 2018, Jimmy has helped the organization grow from just a handful of people to over 40 members. Jimmy is an aspiring medical student and hopes to attend medical school in the future.
